SARAH NEIL
COMMUNICATIONS AND OUTREACH COORDINATOR
INTERSTATE INSURANCE PRODUCT REGULATION COMMISSION
Sarah is the Communications and Outreach Coordinator for the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission (“Insurance Compact”). In this role, she supports outreach to member states to promote participation in the Compact and develops content for industry representatives, the Legislative Committee, and the Consumer Advisory Committee to enhance understanding of the Compact’s filing platform.
Prior to joining the Insurance Compact on June 1, 2021, Sarah spent nearly five years with the Rhode Island Insurance Division. There, she reviewed policy form and rate filings for regulatory compliance with Rhode Island insurance law, focusing on life insurance, annuities, credit, long-term care, and legal services product lines. She also served as a public information officer and contributed to consumer services, complaint resolution, market conduct matters, and website maintenance.
In addition, Sarah represented Rhode Island in several National Association of Insurance Commissioners (“NAIC”) working groups and Insurance Compact committees, including the Product Standards Committee, where she served as Vice Chair from 2020 to 2021.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Providence College and a Master of Public Administration from Roger Williams University. She began her career as a customer service representative and has held various roles in the insurance industry, including claims handling, transaction processing, compliance, and life and annuity product filings.
