Strategic Plan Tracker

Since early 2025, the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission (Commission) has implemented its 2025–2028 strategic plan, Compass 2.0, to advance key regulatory initiatives. The plan focuses on strengthening Uniform Standards development, improving the efficiency and consistency of regulatory review processes, and supporting Commission participants in making informed and effective contributions. Compass 2.0 provides a structured framework for taking deliberate action on emerging opportunities and addressing evolving regulatory challenges.

The strategic plan is anchored on three priorities:

  • Priority I: Developing Uniform Standards that states support and companies choose to use
  • Priority II: Maintaining a nationally recognized regulatory review process
  • Priority III: Serving as a resource for Compacting States, regulated entities, and consumers

To date, the Commission has made considerable progress across these priorities. The table below summarizes action items and implementation status across the plan. For readability, action items shown on this page are abbreviated; full action item descriptions and additional context are available in the Commission’s Strategic Plan.
