Publication and Comment of Phase 9 Uniform Standards
On Thursday, April 28th, 2022, the Insurance Compact published for comment proposed amendments to 10 Group Life Uniform Standards. These amendments are related to Phases 9 of the Five-Year Review process that the Uniform Standards are currently undergoing. The Insurance Compact Rulemaking Rule requires the Insurance Compact to review its Uniform Standards, Rules and Operating Procedures every five years. These amendments may be found on the Docket of the Insurance Compact’s website.
These amendments were recommended for publication and comment by the Product Standards Committee during the Management Committee teleconference on March 29th. Written comments will be accepted on these proposed amendments until June 27th, 2022. If you would like to submit any comments regarding the proposed amendments in Phase 9, we would ask that they are submitted in writing to comments@insurancecompact.org.
