2027 Uniform Standards Development Prioritization
Do you have an idea for new product standards, or want to request a change to existing uniform standards? On April 7, the Compact Office issued a notice announcing the initiation of the 2027 Uniform Standards Development process. All interested parties may submit a request for new or amended Uniform Standards for the Product Standards Committee to be considered for inclusion on the 2027 prioritization list.
Those who wish to submit a request for new or amended Uniform Standards may do so by completing the Request Form for New Uniform Standards or Changes to Uniform Standards webform. Submission of the webform automatically sends the request to the Compact Office, and requestors will receive a confirmation email from comments@insurancecompact.org. Please note that a separate webform submission is required for each new or amended Uniform Standard request; the Compact Office cannot accept multiple requests submitted in a single webform.
After review of new and carryover requests, the Commission adopts the prioritization list during the Annual Meeting scheduled in the fall. The current list for 2026, along with the previous lists, may be found on the Compact website, specifically under the Priority List for Uniform Standards Development page off of the Standards webpage.
