Selecting the Proper Filing Type
The Insurance Compact Review Team would like to remind all filers of the importance of selecting the right Filing Type in addition to the correct Type of Insurance (TOI).
The various submission requirements filers are required to comply with are determined by the selection of the correct TOI and then Filing Type. The selection of the wrong Filing Type means a longer review as not all of the applicable submission requirements are generated for the filer to address prior to submission. The most common mistake seen is with regard to application-only submissions. Filers are overlooking the ?Application? Filing Type and miss the ?Application Use? submission requirement as the filer has selected a Filing Type that does not contain ?Application?.
