In this series of weekly tips, we are sharing key pointers from the Compact’s Spring Webinar Series, which worked through the sections of a SERFF filing. We are breaking these pointers down into quick summertime reads to reinforce best practices.

Supporting Documentation Tab: 

The name of this tab explains its purpose—to house information that supports the filing’s compliance. 
For life and annuity filings that require an actuarial memorandum, please submit all relevant documents under the corresponding submission requirement. (For long-term care and disability income rate review filings, use the Rate/Rule Schedule tab). 
The Statement of Variability is attached to this tab.  Any filings that include a Statement of Variability should include a variability certification as explained on this tab.
