In September, the Insurance Compact Office issued Filing Information Notice - FIN 2021-2: Filing Process for Product Filings that Include Montana to Address the Amendment of § 49-2-309, Montana Code Annotated.

The Spring 2023 Insurance Compact webinar series is wrapping up this week, with the last session, Best Practices: Correspondence, scheduled for Thursday, May 25th.

This week, the Insurance Compact Office issues a new Filing Information Notice ? FIN 2020-1: New, Amended and Refiled Product Filings due to Changes in Interest Rates for Nonforfeiture Values in Life Insurance Products.

Filings eligible for expedited review were expanded effective November 1, 2025.  The published expedited review process documentation has been updated accordingly to reflect the additional filing types eligible for expedited review.

The Insurance Compact is hosting a webinar on Thursday, May 6th at 3pm ET / 2pm CT / 1pm MT/ 12pm PT for all interested parties. The focus of this particular webinar is disability income filing best practices.

Did you know that two Compacting states have lifted opt-outs of Uniform Standards?

This week's tip clarifies the current status of automatic calculations in the new SERFF platform. At the current time, filings that require actuarial review are not set to auto-calculate Compact or state fees.

Filing Information Notice 2025-1 was published last week in preparation for the expansion of Group Life Uniform Standards to groups other than employer groups.
